The police receive reports of several truck hijackings. To apprehend the perpetrators, Brian O'Conner goes undercover in L.A.'s underground illegal street-racing scene. There, he befriends street-racing legend Dominic and falls for his sister, Mia. Brian becomes increasingly entangled in the street gangs' activities while simultaneously facing a conflict between duty and friendship.
